Rotorua

We’re in Rotorua.

After our gorgeous sleep we woke up, took a shower and prepared the table for our breakfast. Fortunately we slept very good this was important because today we’re going to have a long and exhausting day. Felipe, Monika, Emilie and me were sitting at the table, which was covered with delicious food. I saw pancake, fruit salad, Froot loops cornflakes, bread, pork and egg. There wasn’t place for more food anymore. The smell was delicious. (jap. oishii for delicious). While I was preparing a cheese toast-sandwich in the kitchen, the others decided to go to the thermal valley at the table. Nice ;-O, I’m  really looking forward to going there because there will be surly a lot of special snapshots. I love taking pictures. The sound, when you press the button down for shoot a picture is great. My little quick introduction:
Take the camera, think about, what you will hold within the frame and which angle you have to choose, now, change the settings you want to have,  point the camera and shoot – nothing could make more fun.
Anyway, we hurried to the car. Because for this trip you really have to plan a whole day. Stop….I forgot my cheese sandwich. I ran back to the backpacker’s kitchen, tooke my cheese-sandwich-double-burger out of the baker and returned to the car.  This way my morning practice is done ;-) . I know a sandwich like this isn’t a good meal for an athlete but for only once in a while it’s all right.

We were all sitting in the car for 30min. We had nothing expect. And Suddenly we arrived ;-P.

We bought tickets by a very cool old lady. The way she spoke was very fresh. She was really convinced of her work. She gave us 4 prospects in 4 different languages. Spanish por Felipe, French pour Emilie, German fur Monika and English for me. They looked very nice. Unfortunately I hadn’t time to read it. I was taking picture of the landscape. The valley was looking beautiful. There were hot crater lakes. Emilie and me were again taking fun picture for our serious kiwi photoalbum ;-) . “mhhh Emilie is it possible to go there?” I asked Emilie.”… It’s dangerous there…but…look there is a lila guy who is in this area. Go Go…I go in my position for the picture” stumbled Emilie over her words. This man has fine hair and a flat, white face. It could be a man from asian. Maybe Japanese….?

“Hey guys” said the lila man with dark sunglasses and a Canon 450D. ” Should I take a picture of you two…” ” Yeah this would great….” we said stunned. He took a photo of us. Thank you!!! “Where are you from?” I asked  very interested because we love to speak with japanese. And Emilie and I tought he might be a japanese. In reality he isn’t from Japan. He is from Austraila and he’s name is Thomas. We couldn’t ask more about his where-about that might be impolite. After a little conversation he offered us be a friend in Facebook!! He said that he would like to see our picture and learn more about taking photos.

In the following hours we walked trought the tropical forest, climbed mountains and burned in the heat. It was so hot… Emilie with her clear skin had to put a lot of sunscreen. In her misery she invented a sun protection for her shoulders. She cut a plastic back nearly in two pieces and wear the bag like a mini jacket. The arms were in the Henkel of the sack. She’s very creative…

In the evening we were at home again. And practicing freestyle in the parking lot.

See you the next time
