After a short but good night and a delicious breakfast, I could phone to my mum in Switzerland; There the weather was very cold (-10°)..I won’t be happy to come back in wintertime, we have to enjoy the sun, barbecues, beaches, ice creams, shorts, t-shirts, tongs, sunglasses, strawberries, melons, kiwis, walking with knack feet, …
So, today the program is walking to “cathedral reserve”; we walked for 45 min a beautiful forest until arriving on a beach . In the water were some big rocks for this reason was the beach so famous. Philipp and I took some very nice pictures and Philipp swim in the sea who was a bit cold, wasn’t it?!
We heart about “hot water beach” so we wanted to try it…In fact it was a beach on which we had to dig a hole, then some very hot water from the ground came in it and we could bath. But the problem was that the water was so hot that we couldn’t put our feet in…fortunately the ocean was so cold as before so we could refresh us.
After the bath we take the car again in direction of Rotorua!
We arrived in a very nice hostel where we were received by a gentle woman, Laura, die aus Köln kam und gut Deutsch spricht. (who came from Köln and could speak german very good). In the main room of the hostel was a beautiful Christmas tree and on our pillows was a little candy ;o) All the staff was nice, they ask us a lot of questions about our unicycles and about UNICON.
After having put our luggage in the room we rode unicycles in the city and made a bit of shopping. We entered in a shop “serious fun” whom staff ask us for a little demonstration in the shop. Of course we agreed (one of the staff’s guys could ride unicycle!) but then came a woman who proposed us to make a show for the “Christmas’ shopping” in the evening!!! We agreed again and went back to the hostel for wearing our costumes and taking our musics.
Again in the street of the shop we made our routines. Only a few people were looking at our presentation and we had to ride on a road which wasn’t flat at all. For me it was very difficult but I enjoyed it very much and it was a very good training. At the end of our presentation “serious fun’s” boss gave us 50$ off on a wear of his shop!! Thanks a lot!!!!!
We took a very long time for choosing what we wanted to buy (the guys who can ride unicycle helped us) and finally Philipp bought a shirt and I a pullover.
We took some pictures with and the guys we met. I really enjoyed this moment!
Then we had to practice again. We went on a car park and practiced during an hour while Monika and Felipe were buying some food.
Dinner, shower, sleeping!!!
